High Performance Cars
The key here is ensuring there is enough ground clearance. We use ESM Race Ramps which as you can see provide a generous amount of space. Even while most modern super cars have a front axle lift it is still a good idea to use a ramp extender to ease the loading angle thus reducing the strain on the drive train.
Classics.
Classic is fairly broad term. It is wise to load these on a case by case basis. Some are better winched on, while others are fine under their own power. Occasionally race ramps are required to ease the loading angle, with some models having low exhausts that would otherwise be prone to catching on acute gradients.
Sports Cars.
Most sports cars are relatively low without a front axle lift option, so ramp extenders are used; they are similar to supercars from a loading perspective in this sense. Where they differ is many have a manual box, so it is important to find the correct balance between the throttle and clutch to maintain a steady yet safe loading pace.
American.
I have developed a few techniques and systems that make loading American cars much safer over the years. The torque delivery is severe (one of the reasons why we love them) so a gentle, patient foot is required.
Other Vehicles.
Applies to pretty much anything that is not a car in the traditional sense. This could mean a small plane, cart, buggy, concept or model.
